Ben Kesling of The Wall Street Journal wrote an important article about the recent issues with the Veterans Affairs department, including the spike in appeals claims coming in the wake of the mismanagement and long waits at VA hospitals. I spent some time today with Air Force veteran Ethan Reeves in Puyallup, Washington, who has spent years trying to get a disability claim approved. Some pictures are below and Ben’s story is online here. It will be in print tomorrow, July 8, 2014. Thanks for looking.
Nicely written WSJ story and unfortunately is not something out of the ordinary. But, there are many non-profit private organizations like the Special Forces Charitable Trust (for Special Operations Army) and so many other organizations that help solders like Ethan either directly or through assistance in navigating the process for filing and obtaining for their benefits.. But, still the military and the US government has definitely fallen down with helping these guys and getting them what they really need..
Without men like Ethan Reeves, this world would be a different place!!!
Help our Vetrans with their needs!!!
