It’s amazing to see snowy mountains already in Washington’s Cascade range in October. As a skier, I’m hoping for more soon.

Duwamish River photo essay in Seattle Met magazine

Uncategorized

I’ve been photographing Seattle’s Duwamish River for about a decade and it was a pleasure to see the work published in the Seattle Met fall 2020 issue. The layout and design looks great. It’s amazing to see a personal project finally find a home – and with 14 pages in the magazine.

As Stefan Milne writes: “Even after a century of commercial pollution—which had the EPA label it one of the most toxic sites in the U.S. in 2001—salmon still run in the river. Residents of adjacent neighborhoods like South Park fish there. And, slowly, due to two decades of cleanup, the river is healing.”

Reviewing it here, I will try to give you some insight into the drone in case you are shopping around. I’ve had friends and colleagues ask about what I’m using and how I like it, so read on for an impartial DJI Mavic 2 Zoom review.

Ron Reagan, son of former US president Ronald Reagan, is an atheism activist, among other things. I photographed him at his home in Seattle recently. I can’t read the article since it’s in French, but have a look here! Amber coloring in the photo is courtesy of wildfire smoke.

I photographed Mariners rookie and AL Rookie of the Year contender Kyle Lewis last week for The New York Times. The Times gave it a nice online layout here.
